Engineered Shading Solution: Dual Roller Bracket

Dual Shading Solutions allow for maximum solar and light control in a single assembly. This system provides the flexibility to control the sunscreen shade and the blackout shade independently. These shades can be operated manually or motorized. Dual shades are available with or without side channels for increased light control.

Below is an ongoing project with our Engineered Dual Roller System. As many of you know, dual shades are a great solution, providing the client with two shading options in one. The Dual Shading System consists of a blackout shade which sits nearest to the window and the solar shade in front, offering the best of both worlds. As you can see below, the client has their solar shade down during the day to cut down heat gain, while at night the privacy or blackout shade can be lowered as well.Dual_Solar_Shade

However as any Architect will tell you, the primary challenge of utilizing the Dual Roller System is the size needed for the bracket itself. Since we are working with both a blackout and solar shade, the roller space required is double that of a standard system. Below is a typical example of the required spacing required for the standard Dual Shading System.
