The challenge for these exposures is that the space has the risk of over heating by allowing too much solar heat gain in the summer months, therefore the need for an Engineered Shading Solution.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/insyncsolar.com\/Staging\/blog\/cable-guide-exterior-shades-installed-at-passive-house-in-brooklyn\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"http:\/\/insyncsolar.com\/Staging\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/05\/FullSizeRender%20-3-.jpg\" alt=\"Cable guide exterior shades\" width=\"940\" title=\"Cable guide exterior shades\" caption=\"false\" data-constrained=\"true\" style=\"width: 940px;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 15px; color: #000000;\">We first met Orlando at last year&#8217;s Passive House Conference in New York City. The conversation began with the design of the Exterior Shades for the building souther facade. Orlando liked the idea of running the cables down the full length of the three floors. This required us to carefully plan the installation of our brackets and fastening devices.
